The Maple Valley-Anthon Oto School Community School District believes that education is a basic right of all students. The districts exist to develop and improve the academic instruction, curriculum, and facilities so that every individual student will be provided with the opportunity to perceive and develop their potential for benefit of self and society. This education is the responsibility of all educators, students, parents, and members of the community. Each student can learn and will be given the opportunity to develop interests and set goals while becoming a mature individual and contributing member of society.
The school districts will strive to provide a safe, suitable educational atmosphere with course offerings broad enough in scope to encompass the intellectual, physical, creative, emotional and social education of each student and to allow the development of their full potential. While recognizing the necessity of a program directed toward the common needs of all students, the emphasis will always be on the unique needs of each individual child.
An environment will be created in our school districts within which students will be encouraged to be honest, responsible and productive citizens in our democratic society. This philosophy is intended to provide the guidance necessary to accomplish the school goals.
